replacement crankshaft pully

Hi all...I have a chrankshaft pully which deteriated and broke down last night, when i get a new one hopefully tomorrow can you tell me what is the procedure ref timing or is it a old one off and new one on??

When we did ours it was easy enough 3 bolts to loosen. No need to time the engine. Just draw a diagram how the belt goes over the pulleys before you take it apart.

As Ray says, no need to time.

Referring to the below post, you can get to the pulley bolts without removing the fan, using an articulated head lever of some sort. I did this on my Mk8, and once you get the hand of it it's easy enough. Corteco make the genuine Ford part I think.

Thanks guys all done apart from the wide long belt which I put the old one back because it was in situ and it sort of looked ok....But> for the new belt do you have to remove one of the pullys for this because led on my back it looked like one pully the belt looped round and couldn't slot it over.

Not completely sure what you mean. There is a spring-loaded tensioner pulley that you generally need to slacken to remove and refit the belt. But otherwise no, no removal of pulleys to change aux belt.
