Auxiliary Belt Change

Postby andilicious » Mon Jun 27, 2022 7:11 pm

Hi All,

Does anyone have a link to a video showing how to change the Auxiliary Belt?

2.2 RWD 155 if possible?

Also could the part numbers for the belt and tensioner (which I believe should be changed at the same time) be listed? They don’t appear to be available when I look on Eurocarparts app!

Thanks

Andy

Not sure of your actual tensioner, but if not available ..it's usual possible to undo the rivets on the wheel , open it up and change the bearing ..there will be a number on the bearing, put that number into ebay ..and buy a well known make of bearing .. do it that way and then, peen the rivets closed, if you have the competence, this sort of job can then be done for less than a fiver.

and the the tensioner pulley on there own or the tensioner complete are on ebay ..its up to you to put the right info into the drop down menus on the listing ...the words "diesel platform" seems to bring up the RWD version

search Using search words
"transit" 2.2 115 tensioner

note the quotation marks on the word transit..if you don't put these you'll get all sorts of crap in the results

once you pick one of the results
This is what i put in on the drop down menu on the listing ..don't know if its correct , as only you the owner knows that, as you didn't supply all the info needed in your post so i guessed

Make - Ford
Model - Transit
Year- 2014
Variant- Diesel Platform/Chassis
Type- 2.2 TDCi RWD
Chassis- RWD -- VO - this could be wrong on my part
Engine- 2198cc 114KW 155HP CV24;CVR5;UYR6 also this could be wrong on my part

This is your van and how to do it :D .

Check your crankshaft pulley - the rubber insert failing is a known issue so change it whilst your there  .
