My van has spit it’s dummy out again this time on island of mull Scotland is the alternator plug and play or does it need programming in cheers

No programming needed,check the output (amps) is the same,should be printed on rear plastic casing.

Had a good result this time recovered from the port by RAC private contractor to his yard saved me 80 miles of fuel and then they fit a exchange Bosch alternator instead of taking me the long trip home and no bill to pay that’s what I call a result.
