MK 8 cruise control

Postby dumper » Sat Nov 12, 2022 8:13 am

Since I’ve had the axle ratio change from 3.1 to 3.7 the cruise control hasn’t worked I had it into a diagnostic centre but they couldn’t do it . Then a guy who upgrades non cruise models tried to sort it with FORscan and went through all the axle ratios and tire sizes but the best he managed was to get it to work in 5th gear and only up to 50 mph but not in 6th gear the speed limiter will sometimes not set unless you set it a low speed then up it on the control and also the gear read out on the dash doesn’t show the correct gear the van is in.
He’s saying that the ECU may need changing or rewriting can anyone recommend someone who can do this .
Cheers
