Sqweaky clutch pedal

Postby alex.hulme » Wed Jan 25, 2023 3:41 pm

Hi, sqweaky clutch pedal Ford transit mk8 2.0l rwd jumbo L4H3 for the first few cms of play, usually when releasing the last bit. Tried 3in1 spray oil on the moving parts, grease on pin bit. Any suggestions it's driving me mad!

got exact same problem on exact same van {2018}, i cured for a bit with by using some spray grease on pivot point but comes back after a while, seems like you need to renew that part from what i have read

Just bought a 2015 MK 8 2.2 (2 weeks ago). Previously had a Custom.
Pedal was squeaky on the test drive, didn’t think much of it and sprayed some maintenance spray on the pedal assembly after I bought it and noise went away.
Had a bit of trouble getting the clutch to return and more squeaking when we had a cold snap but spray made the problem go away again.
Then started to find the clutch pedal sticking after disengaging. Biting point is very low so assume the clutch is good.
Went to use the van today and found the pedal won’t disengage at all now, pedal has gone to floor.

Wondered which component has failed to cause this, I assume it was the same one which was squeaking! Which component did you replace to fix the squeak?

Thanks
