Gear stick stiff

Hi Guys I have a 2015 RWD and have noticed the gear selector is a quite stiff when moving left to right, its not stiff going forward and backwards when shifting gears. Cant seem to find anything on here or google about it, is this normal? Had the van 3 years but only recently noticed it, vans not been used much the last 4 months only done about 500 miles so could just be me as been driving other vehicles..

Likely stiff cables.
But pop the linkage off on gearbox and try them,
If it's still stiff it's the cable, if gearstick is free it's the linkage on the box.
If it's the cable, You can take off the gear stick gator and possibly the plastic panel and spray some lube down the offending cable.
