Postby Nedw99 » Sun Feb 01, 2026 4:51 pm

Hi I have a 2018 ford transit twin axle rwd double cab tipper 130ps and I trued to start it this morning and it’s not even turning over it’s just giving messages on the dash like engine temp to high pull over immediately and hill start not available my friend has a snap on machine and he plugged it in for me and these are the codes. Any help would be appreciated

Common fault on mk8 and custom seems to be water ingress into or onto BCM or cable connecting it damaged / corroded by water -BCM = body control module

i don't know how this would prevent engine start ...but these are linked to the pcm, powr control module, so could do that

Location is behind the glove box

all the best.mark

You’ve lost the PCM
It’s not responding to self/network test, and all the other modules that are,say they’ve lost communication with PCM.

Really you’d start by checking the power supplies and grounds to the PCM.
But it’s not quite so easy, the connectors are underneath an anti theft shield secured by 2 shear bolts.
Maybe start with all the fuses first, there’s a fuse box under bonnet, and the BCM / fuse box in cab is behind the panel / cup holder on drivers side of dashboard,to the right of steering column
