2018 2.0 tdci Ford Transit

Postby NorthernTranzit » Thu Apr 23, 2026 3:33 pm

Ok I'm interested in an ex BT workshop van. It's been serviced by Holman since 2019. Now the new owner only has the service record for the past two years which detail what it's had done on its servicing. It shows entries every year since 2019 but doesnt say what it had before. Now does anyone know when Holman automotive change fleet wet belts on 2018 transits? I've tried to phone Holman but they said they can't help. Thanks Andy

I've not gone to look at the transit yet, just trying to determine if the price is right. It's just ticked onto a 103k, it seems that the oils and filters have always been changed on time. It's currently listed for 7.3k GBP so could potentially have a new wet belt fitted for the price. So no proof of wet belt change but fleet maintained, would it be dodgy to assume that this could do another 20k miles on an original wet belt due to consistent fleet servicing? Or is that a daft 1k wet belt just get it done question. Thanks

Would this be on the Ford recall list and has it been done worth checking with Ford

WHY WOULD YOU TAKE A CHANCE.....SNAPPED BELT REPAIR WOULD MOST PROBABLY COST 3x TIMES THE PRICE OF JUST LIKE FITTING THE BELT KIT
