Minibus interior lights

Postby Dave11D » Thu Sep 10, 2026 4:43 pm

Can Forscan be used to shorten the length of time it takes for interior lights to go out after closing a door (vehicle left not locked??

MK8 2020 TREND

Thanks in advance.

It's not a transit mini bus but a same era transit connect being discussed in the link below .. it goes through all options. hopefully very similar.

Hope it solves the problem or gives you an idea if possible or not .

Also the owner manual guides you through the features, can be found here . FREE

Thanks for those Mark, but unfortunately they don't seem to have cured it!

I do have Forscan, but am not terribly used to using it so am a bit reluctant to try it.

I've just noticed that if I open the door, the lights in rear come on, and have to be manually switched off at the overhead parcel shelf. After doing that and then closing the door just one light at the sliding door stays on but goes off fairly quickly.

which is why i sent you there , better than trying different things here with no resolution .. shows that there isnt one .. rather than me just say there isnt one .. pile of others backing it up .

plug it in and try it, wouldn't go with what those links were saying, if your battery is going flat cause an interior light is on for 30mins your battery is fooked

Well I bit the bullet, cranked up Forscan and couldn't find anything to do with interior lights except changing them from switching instantly off to soft off. In BCM as built as far as I remember.
