New Van

I'm looking at moving on from my Mk 7 140 to a Transit Custom. I've seen a few MS-RT, Transit GT, Transit SV, Transit Q-Spec etc. going around.

Any items to be aware of?

Almost all of these are bog-standard, low-spec vans with fancy alloys and a bodykit shoved on them, put together by independent dealers to sell to folks who can't afford a proper Custom Sport. If you want something that isn't all sizzle and no steak, make sure you go for something with the 170PS engine. It really does make a difference.

I've specced up a VW for what we need it for and it is way past MS-RT money by a large margin.

Mine is a limited crew cab full electric pack ford fitted heated seats single passenger seat twin doors , it has the kit and wheels I’d just be careful of if seats are in the rear that they are fitted properly as if in a crash they will stay put a lot of vans at these dealers as said are panel vans used pos for construction sites and been thrashed to an inch of their lives we have them at work they tow a digger all day everyday and we have only had one engine failure common fault is abs ring sensor on rear discs they crack in half leaf spring bump stops we haven’t had much else. The 2.0 litre engine runs in oil and make sure it’s changed at the right time else problems my mate works at ford and had a few problems I’d chose the one with the most extras and if it’s a 125 ps upwards just get it chipped.
