Roof Rails , Rally flapz and Splitter

Postby Klunker » Mon May 10, 2021 9:25 am

Morning.

Looking for some guidance on roof rails on a 21 reg Tourneo.

https://dstonline.co.uk/ford-custom-roo ... k-2012-on/

Are the roof mounts on the L2H1 Tourneo Custom, the same as the Transit custom?

Same with the splitter here:
https://dstonline.co.uk/dst-sport-lower ... -on-gloss/

I imagine the front ends are the same. Has anyone bought one of these, or have any more pics to share?

And last bit not least, looking at a set of Rally Flapz.
There seems to be various issues with the skirts on sports and some fettling required.

Any advice welcome.

That splitter wont fit on a Sport , you want the one from Vanstyle. It just fits on the middle recess on the sport bumper, Ill be fitting one to mine.

Its not on their site only on their ebay site , strangely

That shows as not fitting mine.

The bumper on the sport looks different.

I spoke to DST and there should be no issues with the Rails, splitter and spoiler on a Tourneo.

That splitter should be for mine without the Custom Sport bumpers.

I suppose I'll find out soon. :)

How easy are the to fit, and did you use tiger seal for the bolt threads?

Ah good. Thanks
Ordered the roof bars, splitter and rear spoiler today.
The full length side steps are on back order, so hopefully that gives me time to see why having rear aircon fitted stops the full side steps fitting. :)

Rally Flapz are on a 14 day order interval as they are so busy. Good to see local business doing well at least.

The rails are really easy to fit, you can use the tiger seal on the threads before you fit the rails and it seals just fine. I would say the only issue is pay particular attention to the holes that the rails fit into.

Got a good quote to prime, spray and fit the rear spoiler and front splitter. Wangled in the roof rails to get fitted as well. Easy enough I suppose, but I'm finding the height an issue on the drive. Bought a telescopic hose brush for the roof.

I'm thinking of a few tree trunk sections from the friendly tree surgeon to step up the 18 inches when cleaning.

Always done the two bucket method when cleaning the scoobies, so going to hand wash this one.

Agate Black metallic i believe.....wtf possessed me to get a Black car again?

Splitter on.
Spoiler on.
Roof rails on.
Front flaps on.

Looking good.
How do you post pics these days?

Got a slight issue with rear flaps and body mouldings, but happy so far.
