Sync 3 with no compass = sync 2.5 what do you have?

Im curious to see how many sync 2.5 's are out there and what year they are.
If you go to about page and it says sync3 then it is Sync3.
If it just says sync then its sync 2.5
There are few other ways to tell but other than that are identical.

So does the compass only come up if you have nav..
That would make sense.
Maybe the voice recognition might do more with nav too

I think manufacturers often use “specification may change at any time’ statement in their brochures to offload overstock or soon to be updated components.


My (recently sold) 2018 had sync 3 and Nav.... does the new custom supposedly come with sync 3 as standard or is it dependent on spec sport/limited/trend etc?

I have a 2019 limited. Mine has Sync 3 with a compass on the Home Screen and no Nav.
