I’ve been waiting for 8 weeks from the original ETA and last heard it was in Antwerp about 4 weeks ago.

My van landed at Liverpool around 2 weeks later, then at the dealer a week after that - also in liverpool.
I am now 2k miles in and around 6 weeks of ownership.

Did you change you mind or just let down by the broker? Out of interest who were you using.
I’m going through a broker as well. I’m planning to make a camper out of it and the delay is now effecting holiday plans !!

First broker let me down.

But the mk8 factory supply is knackered.

They are now saying if you want a transit in 2022, you need to order now!

If you can wait then wait. But I think the relay was a good option as I couldn’t wait a few years for a factory order.

The chip shortage is going to impact the whole industry further

Why not order through a dealer then and skip the brokers ? surely the dealer can get hands on stock of the model you want as easily ?

i know when i was looking for mine, these brokers all promised the world but when pinned down to actual dates couldn't commit - only the main dealer would give a window.
Also the price difference was pretty negligible too considering you get an extra years warranty from a main dealer rather than the 2 years offered by the brokers for around 2p less.

see on initial enquiry i was quoted that too - but once the dealer adds on the part ex allowance (even if you never accepted it) and the reduction for financing at 0% and other benefits, the price in my case for a van exactly as a wanted was 34.5 inc vat compared to 33.5 for a van that was similar but wrong colour, had tail up and over door and bench seat in the front coupled with a years less warranty too.
so the dealer was not that much more.

FWIW i rang several places, some simply couldn't even be bothered to quote, some gave nothing more that RRP prices, some really were not interested unless i wanted to lease it and hand it back.
It was only Peoples Ford in Liverpool whom were not only competitive, but also got the whole "not buying through a business" or VAT claim back and buying to own it. Needless to say i gave them the order even if logistics made it harder for me

I think that production has improved from earlier in the year from a shortage of chips
Strange as my local chip shop never had an issue

Hi,
My sport arrive last Friday having ordered it in March. Dealer now quoting 10-12 months for new delivery of a sport so looks like things are not getting much better.
