Charging system service now message

Any wise folk have any ideas , comes on and off randomly

Slide drivers seat forward to access battery,there’s a flap over battery negative post.
Make sure battery connection is secure,and the 10mm nut holding the cable to it.
(Check the small wire connection to battery monitoring sensor also if fitted)

If they are ok,it could be the clutch failing in alternator drive pulley.
I’d recommend one of those cig lighter voltmeter thingies so you know if it’s actually charging or not,otherwise you’ll likely breakdown if/when it runs out of electric…..

Usually a sign of it not charging is the idle rpm will be higher say about 1000-1100rpm

Update
I checked battery connections and all good
Alternator covered in oil from pipe above not connected that goes into air box?
Took it in to local garage and they have cleaned it all up and so far no more fault charging messages
