2018 transit custom sync 3 problem

Have just bought a 2018 transit custom sport, new to the custom so didn’t really know much about them when buying but previous owner said that the CarPlay would need a wi fi update from Ford to make it better so I did an update which didn’t do anything it was still very slow and temperamental so I did a factory reset and uploaded the latest Ford update but still very slow and temperamental, can connect my phone with cable but still very arractic and is driving me mad, has anyone else had any problems with there’s and is there a fix
