i would not know, i own a connect ... all the fixings are visible on that .
if you look at pictures of liners on ebay .. you get to see where the fixings are

Anyway... there is more to this rust protection than spraying waxoyl on outer panels ... the main areas are where you cant see .. inside the sills ... behind the load space wall plywood liners .. so it dribbles down between the outer skin of the vans wheel arch lip and where it joins the inner wheel well... basically its anywhere that ford did not spray the body colour paint, all they did is phosphate these inner un-sprayable panels by dipping the van...
a coating measured in microns. This isn't quite the same as a custom, but gives you an idea of the area i'm talking about .. accessible from inside the van only.

here's all the rust traps hidden inside the sills on a connect.. may be similar on a custom
download/file.php?id=38373&mode=viewnote all the hidden places rust from condensation .. and not road water, they rust quickly because they don't have paint only phosphate.
basically if you see your car covered in condensate .. the same is happening at the same time within unseen enclosures in the bodywork and chassis... only not so quick to dry out, sometimes does not dry and accumulates and not at all well protected from the effects.
all the best,mark
