2.0l Custom Limp Mode

Postby hi_tower » Thu Dec 12, 2024 10:05 pm

Can any of you guys shed some light on this problem I’ve been having with my 2018 2.0 custom the past few days.
The van will randomly go into limp mode for a few seconds every now and then for a few seconds the spanner lights up on the dash and then everything is back to normal.
I connected it up to my obd scanner tonight and I’m getting these codes
P008A-21-28 low pressure fuel too low.
P126B-10-68 #2 injector input circuit failure
P02ED-73-2E Diesel intake air flow A control system. Low air flow detected.

I’ve looked at the low pressure fuel in the live data and the pressure is where it should be. It had a new genuine fuel filter 7000 miles ago. Does anyone know where the sensor is located?
I don’t know which of these codes is sending the van into limp mode.

Think you have several faults

NOTE: DON'T EVER GO REPLACING THINGS WILLY NILLY, without first getting the contact cleaner out spraying into plugs and sockets...it may cure it without spending money...well not much money the price of a can of contact cleaner -- starts at £5...and some have a protecting substance that's left behind to stop future tarnish.

well here's - its the maf sensor
P02ED-73-2E

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJ3xsRmLh8A

at 5 mins 24 secs

under air filter box

P126B-10-68 #2 injector input circuit failure --- means the injectors on its way out, or it has faulty wiring, dirty contacts on wiring harness plug of number 2 injector

P008A-21-28 low pressure fuel too low.

possibly in tank fuel pump trouble or the beginnings of it...or again wiring fault dirt sockets

if this fault gets worse and stops your van ...clobbering fuel tank with rubber mallet may get it going again - temporally

check grounds

Thanks Mark.
I was going to check the low pressure fuel system pressure sensor wiring and connector first but I can’t find it. Got a tin of servisol all ready to go.

Hi,

Did you resolve this issue ? I’m having exactly the same with my mk8 transit 2018 model.

So far changed injectors, fuel return pipes, had it terra cleaned, added diesel bug killer to the system
Just in case it was that !?!

I’ve seen some say it could be an exhaust temp sensor ? But any help from anyone would be awesome - thank you.

Hi everyone,

Did anyone manage to solve this issue I’ve got the P02ED:73-2E code and my ad blue system is now counting down to when I can not start the van anymore.

Any info would be good.

Cheers
