Now then , took it for it's 90k
2 hundred and 25 pound service a few weeks back :(
And just registered for etis
So I put it's reg number in and it says outstanding field service actions security update
Service schedulebig red letters outstanding ... security update
Am I correct in saying they are a bunch of c***s?
Or does it take 3 weeks to update etis ?

I'm convinced they never touched my van when I took it in, they did however do the security update.

You tell them what to do.

Oi tosser I want the oil and oil filter, air filter, fuel filter changed and the smelly filter and oil the hinges and spray the seats with anti fungal deodourant spray and make the tyres shiny and whatever else they do as part of the service, and update the computer recall and stamp the book.

Has it been done yet?

This is probably why they don't specify everything that is done on a full service, you say full service but there's no actual agreement between you and them on exactly what they will do, it is an assumption that you make that all the work will be done.

As far as I'm concerned a part service is oil and all filters.

Full service, is oil and all filters, all fluids topped up, all service items checked ef wipers, brakes etc and the clean tyres and grease on the door hinges etc.

But ford don't do the fuel filter do they so in other words it is open to interpretation.

Makes me angry I'm going to send my dirty protest to you to forward to them OK? 8)

Yeah just pop it in the post and I'll leave it next to mine when I take it back :D
I was going to use some strong words at them when I rung up today
But it was that bird that answered the phone and As you know when I have to talk to ladies I start to shake and have trouble getting a sentence together
So she said she was very sorry
And I said I was very sorry
And that was about it really

Fished out the plug for the rear 12v socket.

Went to fill the screenwash and snapped the key in the bonnet lock. Which is inconvenient....

I took the jigsaw to the bulkhead in my DCIV - now got a good sized hatch at the bottom so that I can fit long things into the van. It's always been about the only bug bear with the DCIV, loads of space in the back, but can't fit things in which you can easily fit in a normal hatchback if they're longer than ~2m

Now got approx 2.9m length to the back of the front seats (L2 size) - with the little cage thing removed from the front of the back seats.

Put some trim edging round to neaten it up - just need to fit some clips or something to be able to fit the hatch back over the top when I don't need it.

Pleasantly surprised it doesn't seem to massively increase the noise from the front - thought it might be like a drum or an echo chamber!

8) the noise comes up through the floor
From the wheels you can't hear it up front much but try and crack one off in the back while it's moving and it's very distracting
Next little van I get I'm giving the floor a good inch and a half :P

Back caliper still squeaking :x
My custard tells me it's the wheel bearing doing it
Might jack it up and give it some sh*t tomorrow
There's a rumble but that's most likely a front bearinginit at 96k
Anyway no stone shall be left unturned
