Well finding a replacement (second hand) is harder than I thought  Dose the part number’s have to be the same ?
Or the Serial number ? My part number is BK2T-18C815-FJ so do I just need the 18C815 part to match ? :?:

Ok so I was inside the passenger side door sitting there minding my own business and long story short the door got a little thump off a projectile spring compressor

Now when I lock it the horn goes off :x
But it locks, it won't unlock though, all other doors work fine and the side door pin switch does what it should.

It appears that the bcm internal relays control the locking actuator, at this point although the contact plate looks fine, I have to assume that the pin is broken which does the unlock motor.
I've checked my diagrams and can only find 1 fuse but it is shared with the other side door and that works.
Bloody ford.

I know it doesn't solve the problem but be thankful that it hit that and didn't fire itself straight up your schnoz.
Some people are like slinkies.... not good for much but bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.

If it didn't hit that it would have gone into the neighbours living room

I hate those things and I've retired them, agreed that even being super careful you can still get hurt.
I bought some double fingered ones that grab the spring in 2 places which also stops them from twisting when you tighten them up. I will make a jig and bottle jack compressor at some stage so I can quickly clamp and press the spring and replace the bits quickly, spent well over an hour today with it super pissed off :?

Need to tidy red and a few odd jobs before it goes, don't want the new owner complaining about the smell on the drivers seat etc do I?

No red smells of nothing, maybe freshly sawn timber but no cigarettes or beer odours or anything like that. 8)
