Gone out to work today, "dipped beam fault" on the display and one HID not working :(
Will contact HIDS4U in the morning, bit disappointed as was extremely careful during installation so can only be a faulty part.

That's what happened to me . Just be careful as mine cut the power in the ecu and had to go on the computer at the dealers to switch back on. Hopefully ford will add HIDS as a extra soon.

Wow, couldn't drive the van I take it?
The faulty HID has been working fine since this morning. Just occasionally get the dipped beam fault. But hasn't stopped working since.
What worries me slightly is another message that came up, can't remember the exact wording of it but it was something to do with "waiting for engine"??? Or something relating to engine delay. Will keep an eye on it but ecu problems definitely not what I'm after!!

Edit: realised you said in the ecu, not to the ecu, either way sounds like a pain in the arse

Engine start pending is the message you get when starting before the glowplug light is off

I have seen the "waiting for engine" or some thing like that, when iI have tried to start it before the glow plug light has gone off. So if that could be what you have done probably this is unrelated.

Let us know how you get on, the yellow cornering lights look terrible :(

Hi mate. Them bulbs don't fit it holder as the leds are to big, neither do they work, so I've sent them back today.

When was your van built? There are (AFAIK) only two members here that have fitted the HIDS4U 35w Ultimate kit and had problems (all the other problems are from dodgy wiring, 55w kits and ebay kits)

Mine have been in the van for just over two years now, not one problem. I'm wondering if the newer vans are different or the newer ballasts (yours are different to other that I've seen) are the issue.

Was hoping they'd work :( anyone recommend a halogen with a bright white output?

They've been working since, very occasionally they'll bring up the "fault" but haven't actually failed since.

That's probably what it was, it was a cold morning! Possibly the reason it affected the HID too? Maybe it's a temperature thing??

If there for the cornering lamps mate I'll think you'll struggle to fit them in.
