Thanks Veki, mine is under warranty so I'll put everything back to halogen and take it to a main dealer.
£150 is more than the kit!

As I said before, why not pay it yourself?
This is your own fault, why make ford pay it?

You (UK guys) rant about the dealers prices but you have no problem leaving a van for repair that YOU messed up.
No wonder they are expensive......

Well maybe because if is genuine problem they will look into anything just to not respect warranty, you go for what so ever reason to dealer under warranty is not covered or they cannot find any problems in their opinion van with no wheels drive perfectly

Some people are like that, they'd be unhappy if their clients did the same to them though.

I guess some people don't like being ripped off, we rely on people like you to financially support ford dealerships. So thanks!

We can all agree that nobody likes being ripped off, I'm not letting ford rip me off... £150 to clear a code is a rip off. There's no argument here....?

Sure there is.
If you didn't mess the van up by installing aftermarket stuff the code wouldn't show up.

If the code did show up and you didn't mess the van up = warranty.

That's what you are trying to do now by installing the correct bulbs again, trying to fool ford that it's a warranty job.

I understand people are enjoying the HID lights , I am very tempted but prefer to keep the auto light function .
out of the filament lamps , which type would you suggest for the best light output?
I am replacing the rear lights with leds. I read somewhere you need a canbus cancelling device . Is this necessary for led lights ?
I will be purchasing from autobulbsdirect

If you get the Philips X-treme led bulbs they come with the resistors to stop the bulb alarms.

Mike, do the fog light you fitted come with the correct IP rated and fitted connection plug to connect into the existing fog lights wiring loom without making aftermarket connections ?

Also has anyone got experience with fitting LED indicators ? does the custom use a flasher relay or is it built into the management software ?

The Osram LEDriving DRL/fog/cornering lights come with the correct oem connectors for the fog light connections, the DRL and cornering functions are done by the fitter.

I fitted the Philips xtreme led indicator bulbs, they come with the can bus cancellers. No idea how they're controlled though.
