Resistance is so small it´s impossiple to relibly measure with multimeter. Figured it out with Ohm´s law but i cant remember the result. Below one ohm it was. Might be 0,6 Ohms but not sure.

Same problem on mine as of today. Do I try to source right resistor? Or rather get it off and try to fix it?
But what’s the procedure to get it off and do the fix?
Cheers

Problem fixed. Got broken wire too and re-wired with a resistance wire. We calculated that the original resistance was around 0.25 Ohm.
It works fine.
Anybody knows what is the small component (diode?) that runs across the ends of the resistor, and what is its purpose?

Hi, how did you attach the new wire and did you leave the wire exposed after wrapping it around the ceramic tube?
What diameter resistance wire did you use?

any help would be appreciated

Hi, how did you connect the new resistor wire after snipping off the old wires?

Long time no see, but I used these crimp ferrules and ferrule pliers with that to connect new resistor wire to old ones. Works fine, the steelwire has burned out once after repairing but not from the connection point.

Other crimp-style ferrules works also fine, i think. Connectors for steel wire rope for example.
