So I've bought all my LED bulbs from HID4U, I am having problems also with the brake light. It brings up a bulb fault once when the van is started but not again until I restart the van.
Where did you get your leds from please and have it also fitted the brake / tail leds with / without problems ?
Whilst I'm on this I have the 35W stealth HIDS for the dipped beam. They are giving me the issue that requires a wiring loom to be installed and connected to the battery. Is there another way round this / another brand I can use ?

Installed HID kit DO NOT USE 55w KITS

Postby seikokid » Fri May 20, 2016 10:27 pm

HIDs connected up with the loom , 1 side worked fine but the other flickered, worked ok but not as bright then stopped working . After a reset it worked again but flickering to start and not full bright
Too much hassle , going for brighter standard H bulbs hassle free

Still waiting for Phillips indicator lamps to arrive . I'm curious to see if just using the higher wattage resistor cures my problem. HID4U supply 10 & 5 w so might need something higher ?!?
Reverse , Rear fog , number plate and top brake light LEDs working perfectly
Tail works fine , brake brings up fault on first use then not until van is restarted
Indicators flashing fast rate but work normal on hazard

I fitted the Philips xtreme led indicator bulbs, they come with the can bus cancellers. No idea how they're controlled though.[/quote]

Mike, where did you fit the resistors on the front indicators please ? at what point did you clip into the loom ?

Do you have any photos please ?

I've bought and fitted the Phillips to the rear and they are working well , brighter than the HID4U LEDs

All done , clipped the resistors into the loom within the headlight and fastened the resistors on top of the headlight housing using aluminium tape.

Are these still the weapon of choice?

They have changed the ballasts to 'stealth', does anyone have any experience with these new kits?

i sent mine back as it ended up looking like a spiders web under the bonnet. One ballast didn't work properly and the resistors got way to hot for my liking . I chose some bright lamps and bright fogs instead and are much happier for it

Has anyone tried leds for the dip beam?

From what I see in the manual dip beam uses a H7 socket.

Can you use this?

Or does the beam get completely destroyed?

Just ordered the 35w 5000k kit, £55.96 delivered.

Not a bad deal :)

Evening fella's, received my kit today and fitted it tonight.

Then took it out again as I now have 'dipped beam fault' and will have to make a trip past the dealer in the morning.

I'll see what HIDS4U are saying in the morning too.

There weren't any resistors to fit fella, they claimed the ballasts are can bus compatible - which they are definitely not.

You sure they are 'rally'?

Are they not 100w?
