Yeah, I use it a lot. Pity they don't auto fold when you switch the engine off.

Yes agreed that would be a great help , not sure if mine are faulty or not but they don't always seem to work whilst the van is on the move , is there a certain speed that they won't fold in do you know ?

Yes, I've noticed that, but I don't know what the cut-off speed is. I tried folding them in on the motorway once at about 70mph to see if it would cut the drag, but they refused to move :)

It'd make it dangerous getting out of the van if traffic was passing, a time delay or button on the keyfob would be good though.

True, although I have the rear windows, so not so much of an issue.

Ah right so mine aren't faulty then , tried various speeds today but still can't see why they work sometimes & not others , I use a few narrow country lanes on my regular journey and like to fold them in , but sometimes they just won't move mate

Can you just stop fold them in and then drive on again or do they open again?

Yes you can do that , you need to operate the toggle switch for them to fold out again

Hi all,
I recently pulled up on site for work, pulled the toggle back to fold my mirrors, upon returning to my custom van after my shift the toggle would not move the mirrors back out. The van hadn't moved all day and was not tampered with. I've checked the toggle by taking it out of the door panel and all seems fine, checked the fuse which is also fine. Now I'm stumped so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

I'm assuming you've checked it but the toggle needs to be in the "neutral" position, pointing straight ahead for it to move the mirrors in or out. It also doesn't work over a certain speed, I cant remember exactly but its something like 20MPH.

My Mondeo used to fold them when you lock the doors, then unfold on opening - useful way to tell if you'd remembered to lock it!

i had my mk8jumbo 2 months before I knew they had power fold mirrors, I was sitting in a traffic jam on the m1 and I wondered why there was an arrow on the button, they are great on narrow country lanes
