In fact.
Yesterday I tested the HID on the bench with 12v supply power and it work pproperly. On the other hand I put a normal HD bulb in the van and doesn't work. So it means that, as you said, there is a power cut from electronics.

By the way I already contacted HIDS4U and they told me that now they are replacing the ballast with version 2 because many custom owners are getting similar problem. They can replace under warranty, so I'm in doubt if reset Ecu and keep these ballast or send back for replacement

I had that problem again couple days ago luckily i live 2 minutes from vantuner so he was able to clear code in 10minutes without going to ford. But that is happening on newer fords and when batter is not new anymore.

I have a 2016 Ford Transit Connect XLT here in the USA. Do I need Canbus ballasts for my HID kits?

FFS, I've already told you once,

They have 35w canbus ballasts...i need to know if I need a canbus ballast or not. Some vehicles have a canbus electrical system so the ECM can see if a light is working or not

Not what you said on your other thread?
radioman6923 wrote: I've tried the harness with anti flicker capacitors and 55w slim ballasts...........Today I tried just a direct hook up..no harness and used 55w canbus ballasts but still they did not ignite.
Anyway, yes you need can bus ballasts and a 35w kit..........it MIGHT work, no guarantees.

I got the 35w canbus ballasts and they failed to work which is really disappointing! Not sure why they won't work for my van?

I've got a HIDS4U kit sitting in the garage.

I'm just not sure wether I should risk fitting it to my 17 custom or not??

Any ideas?

HIDS4U kit?

Do I need this type of kit for them to work on my car? I bought my kits online at xenonhids.com but the connections with my factory harness were crappy and would not lock in place. I had to use electrical tape to keep the connection from coming apart. They are taking their sweet time getting me an RMA
