Engine noise

Have my custom since October and did think the engine was noisy while driving as my last transit was a lot quieter.
Last week my mate said it sounds really noisy and doesn't it drive me mad.
Has anyone else noticed this. Thinking of calling back at fords this week.

Whoops wait.
Last week here on the forum a transit custom driver complaining about noise noticed that something was wrong with the rubber around the steering column. The previous owner probably kicked it out of place.

Yes that was me.........deffo worth a look at the rubber just incase.
Mine sounded like a tractor before the rubber was put back in....

Where about is the rubber mate

If you can't find it, it's probably gone.
Around the steering column though the floor/firewall?
I'm not in a Transit Custom yet so I don't have a clue.

As above.......its just behind the pedals in the cab where the coloum goes through the floor.... let un know how you go on...

It is that mate. Was going to try and fix it but it goes in soon for year check up so wil get them to fix it the.
