Icemans10! wrote:Hi everyone,
Been having trouble with my 66 plate euro 6 2.0 lite custom randomly over heating, it generally does it when travelling at around 60 - 70 mph when under load, I've just changed the water pump & I believe looking at paperwork that came with the van the thermostat has been replaced also, Whats strange is the blowers start blowing cold just before it overheats ... any ideas anyone ? Its been suggested it could be the egr valve cooler but don't want to keep throwing money at it Unless I know for definite.. someone pleeeeze pleeeze help
Did you get this solved?????
Im stuck in Hungary, with the same problem.
Never had this before, im pulling a caravan, but during the year it is also always pulling. "Whats strange is the blowers start blowing cold just before it overheats ... " just the same.
Im going up hill 2000rpm, (I believe it is always running a bit hot, so just a bit warmer than usuallly), during a low torque climb it suddenly says overheating and goes in limp mode. I let it run for a few secs stationairy, fault goes away. if I ref it to 3500 rpm and turn the heating on (till trere is hot air coming out) the problem is solved, till the next time (can be 10km or 150km), turn it on and of also works. If I start driving direct after it directly overheats again, ( fault is back)
I ran it for 100km had no fault checked the water level "OK" ; 10km later fault is there, pushes out the water.
Went to Ford they said thermostaat, 2nd generation not solved
