speaker topic with a twist

Postby M3Stig » Tue Sep 18, 2018 8:15 pm

ok guys so i know you need focus plates to have uprated speakers in, but it you were to take the backing plate off and put a bigger speaker into the door what would happen here? would the window mech catch ? - im toying with the idea of better speakers i dont mind doing a little bit of cut and shut and making my own plates etc but im curious on what options are with just removing the speaker housing off and either tec screw straight to the door or something?

The grill in the door card will be the effective limit as its diameter is only about 160mm....imho going beyond 160mm will push air pressure onto the back of the card.
