load lights not working with side door

cant seem to get the rear loading lights on when i open the side door, they are working fine when i open the rear door any one have any suggestions ?

I'm having exactly the same issue with my new Custom.

Does yours try and lock itself if you only open the side door after unlocking? Its almost as if it hasn't registered that the door has been opened. There's no warning on the dash either if I leave the side door open and start the engine, but there is for the other doors...

Hi apengelly, I don't recall having any issues regarding locking unlocking. I will also need to check and see if I get any warnings regarding having the door open. I have checked that the 3 pronged contact was working with, a multi meter I get continuity though all three pins.

Custom still has a normal door ajar pin switch to work interior lamps,
Only on the side door,it's on the rearmost edge of the aperture.

Found the problem! The switch has had it any one know the correct name of the component or were I can get one?

Just looked and mine is broken too. Not too good for a brand new van.
