Mirrors not folding

Postby theandyf » Wed Nov 21, 2018 1:17 pm

Hi all... new to customs, former T5 owner....sorry lol
I can here something clicking under the dashboard but the mirrors don’t fold ...I think both mirrors have been replaced but they are the colour coded type so would presume they have the retract function
Anyone have any ideas
Cheers

It’s possible that they’ve been replaced by 1/2 electric mirrors?

On the custom are they automatic or do you push the mirror adjuster switch down to close and open them like my mk8

I didn't realize I had them until I pulled it by accident

Cheers

I notices that if the knob is in a position to adjust the mirrors glass, the mirrors won't fold. Possibility??

Thanks for jumping on the thread.

This isn't the cause in this instance. I think this is related to the BCM as you hear the relay fire (but nothing happens) when you pull back to fold the mirrors.
