Heated windscreen passenger side not working!!

Has anyone had an experience with this? Fraud want £90 to diagnose but have said over the phone the windscreen will need replacing. Local garage has checked the fusebox fuses and relays and they all seem ok. Not wanting to splash out on a new windscreen without investigating further does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Also, what roughly is a price for the screen as i don't think the insurance windscreen cover covers broken heated elements, the screen isn't cracked that i can see. Thanks.

Make it so the insurance will cover it then.

You can test the ribbon has power and negative both sides, and check fuses etc but I think this is the most common scenario of a failed screen.

Mines getting replaced tomorrow. £75.
