battery to battery charger?

a mate is about to buy a new custom and were removing his window cleaning system out of his traffic and he has a batt to batt charger fitted to charge his leisure battery but will it work ok with the custom charging system when i swap it over?

Is it one of the small cheep ones that you get that you use to powe a fridge or the sterling power ones if you search on here their is post about earthing a pin out under one of the seats to turn off smart charging

I would say yes it’s a lot more the price of a sterling and it says it’s for a smart charging system but I’m no electrician

Its coming off a 2 year old traffic so I imagine they’ll have a smart charging alternator system too

On your link it says it’s for smart change system should be ok from what lve read if it’s not the right type it will only change battery to 80% so just try it

I’ve got a durite vsr myself in my 2015 custom and its been bang on and my leisure batts fully charged but I’m certain it wouldn’t work in my pals 2018 he’s buying with stop start etc, its lucky he’s alresdy got the batt 2 batt charger that I’m gonna swap over for him!
Just need to find a hole to run the wires through the bulkhead from the van battery to the leisure battery in the rear now!
