vanstyle wheel arch covers

Postby vanvliet » Mon Apr 22, 2019 10:03 pm

Has anyone bought and fitted one of these kits? Was it easy to fit? Any cheaper alternatives?

Yeah, don't make your van look tacky by sticking plastic shite on it?

Thanks for the advice. I ordered a set after seeing them on a local van. They should just cover a couple of nasty parking dings on my wheel arches and they look as good as the Ford ones fitted to the upmarket Tourneo which are hugely expensive.
They can also apparently be trimmed down if you have a front spoiler fitted

Ford actually sell these and probably do the fitting kit which I'll guess is 3m sticky prep and self adhesive pads.
They look alright tbh.

Don't think they work on the custom  nice wheel trims, I have those on the standard van wheels (currently living in my shed)

Attached ( hopefully) pics of the 'ding' area Seems to be at just the right height for careless car door opening!

I have also checked out the EBay items and best seemed to be these below ( illustrated for new Custom) but they need fettling and painting( expensive even for these small parts) and I think would need to be bonded on. They are £165
I like the black, slightly textured, finish of the Vanstyle. They are only plastic tho' and should be cheaper than the price quoted Their other products, made for non Ford makes of van, are a lot less.
The genuine Ford Custom Tourneo items have a different fixing again and seem to be about 600 quid + :(

Does anyone know what these arches are as they look thicker than the sport arches, think they go well with the sport kit.
