Hi crimmp, where did you find the BEMM? I looked on the Ford site but couldn't get access.

Cheers,

Kev

Hi Kev. Sorry for jumping in. This link should help. It's a PDF document called 'Transit-Custom Wiring'

You can also try this webpage;

It worked fine but it was always nagging on my mind and if anything went wrong, would Ford reject a warrant y claim. So i bought the proper cable and for what it was it was horrendously expensive. It was about £50-55 for a plastic plug with a 3 meter tail. When I sold the van I took everything out and I still have the cable. If anyone is still after the cable I can post all in for £25. Message me.

Hi.
Really interested in this thread - I've been trying to find an answer to this for ages!
So does that cable act as the + feed to the B2B Charger? If so, is it fused somewhere? I'm converting a Custom Panel Van '65 plate as a 'lockdown project', and I'm looking at fitting a B2B (CYTEK) charger in my conversion, to charge a 130Ah leisure battery, so was wondering how best to take a + feed for the CYTEK...noticed the plug under the seat last week...
Any info you could share would be much appreciated!!
Cheers

Hi All,
By using pin4 and pin3 to energize an interposing relay that feeds D+, you are sure that the D+ signal is only ON when the motor is turning. see my squetx :

I have a 2021 Transit Connect. With the alternator packed in a tight place, I hoped to find a connection for the D+ I can get to.
The Transit Connect does not have the wiring associated with a battery under the driver's seat like the full size vans.

I thought to check the wire connections for the passenger seat. Sure enough they all were dead when the ignition was off, but when van is running, one wire showed 2.7 volts, one 14.4, volts two others 0.7 volts and one seemed to vary in a range from 0.3-1.4 volts. I'm not sure which one I should tap into.
I can't figure it out from the 2019 Beem I have seen.

What is the part number for that kit? The guy at the parts shop had no idea what I was talking about, neither did the service tech.

Watch out, there are at least 2 different kits - I guess for the 2.2 and 2.0 engines., I bought a 2nd hand kit off someone on here and it was the wrong one. I butchered it and just used the single mini wire plug - works fine, but would have been upset if I paid the full £50!

Hi there, I've just signed in few days ago coming from another forum in spanish.
Sorry for my english, I know it's quite bad. I'm Marc from Barcelona.
Just starting the camperization of my ford tranist MK7 and dealing with de D+ signal.
Taking a look to the BEMM I've found a motor signal under the steering wheel. (I don't know why the spanish and the english version doesn't match) this wire give engine signal, a maximum of 1A to activate a maximum of two conventional relays.
I'm about to take from there the D+ signal.
With no key gives 0V
Ignition on 12.3V
engine on 14.4V
Maybe with a switch on the wire that goes to the booster I can avoid the problem of battery discharge.

All this is because I'm not able to find the D+ signal from the alternator.
