*FIXED* No power , Not revving over 2000rpm, No fault codes

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to share a repair tip with you all today! we've had a 2016 custom in last week that wouldn't rev over 2000 rpm but had no warning lights on the dash or fault codes in the ecu! After reading the actual data on the Snap on scanner we've pinned it down to the Fuel temp sensor.. temperature was reading 98 degrees!, if you disconnect the sensor it will default to 40 degrees and allow it to rev past 2000 rpm but its logs a fault code and puts it into limp mode! so a new sensor needs to be fitted. The sensors are only available from Ford at the moment.. Part number 1793886 here's a link to one I found cheaper on Ebay http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481 ... 4022902964
Ive done a YouTube video on the repair..hope it help anyone in a similar situation! https://youtu.be/7SzQySNbZEY

I’m surprised to see the fuel level so low would this affect the fuel temperature as the fuel cooler would have less fuel to work with

Hi dumper, it was rather low on fuel but no it won't effect the temperature , before we replaced the sensor it was reading 98-99 degress from stone cold.

Yes mate I’m a old school plant and transport fitter and got left behind a bit with computer tech but I was surprised that the owner would bring a van in so low on fuel un less I was thinking of removing the tank my mk6 135 tdci used to reduce the power when running low on fuel to stop it requiring bleeding after running out of fuel read it in hand book and experience it on the road but I have had the mk8 down to less then 45 miles left and it just ran normally my reply was just a based on how low the fuel was but thanks for putting the video up it’s good information and I have liked it on YouTube so thanks for putting it on hope you put more on in the future and not let my reply put you off thanks m8.
