Mounting a leisure battery under the passenger seat

Postby gromit4x4 » Wed Jun 17, 2020 7:25 pm

Hi all, I have searched the forum and have not been able to find an answer to my question... So here goes...

I would like to install a leisure battery in my custom with a Ctek D250SE B2B, and wanted to mount the battery under the passenger seat.
Can anyone recommend a leisure battery tray/ battery mounting kit to install a battery under the passenger seat?

Has anyone already done this?
Does anyone have any pictures of their battery installed or perhaps a guide?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Gromit

My leisure batteries under the middle passenger seat, I went with a wooden ply base and then used battening to screw it down and firmly fix it in.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the replies.
I thought there would be a preferred method or a mount available that would somehow just bolt in.

I have since found this image... How would a battery box or ply actually secure to the van? Screws/Bolts into the floor?

I’d bolt it to the floor with a big wash to spread the weight the photo you have found is a good set up my own set up is underneath the bed and Is boxed in next to the night heater as mine has single seat with the the bus heater in it so not able to put two Leasure batteries in the seat box my stealing b2b has a cooling fan on it so if yours has make sure it can get a air flow to it I had to modify the mine to get extra air flow to it as in hot weather it was not getting enough and the fan was on a long time .
