Jumping out of first gear

Postby Myheroduane » Sun Nov 08, 2020 6:21 am

Hello fellow transit owners. I have an issue with my 14 transit custom 6 speed jumping out of first gear with h a bang noise, this does not happen every time. I've been quoted £950 to sort gearbox, however seen a video of failed bearing in selector box. Is this easy to remove and refit to check before I take the garage route? Does anybody have any experience with this as all the info I'm finding is for Mk7? Thank you in advance.

Dave

It may just need the cables adjusting

Yours would have a similar drivetrain and engine to the later (euro5) Mk7 :)
