Clutch question

Afternoon all

After a little advice really . Full block is out of the van at the moment so thought May as well do the clutch at the same time . The old clutch has no problems with the van being remapped , but with the plans ahead I’m thinking upgraded clutch . Does anyone have any experience with this or will a standard clutch handle 230 bhp mark ?

The clutch doesn't give a @#&* about BHP. It's only interested in Nm. :)

The question is: " how is the power improvement achieved?" Is it done by rasing the torque over the full rpm range, or only in the higher rev-
band. Normally the remapping can't fight the laws of physics, so there is a maximum achievable torque at low RPM. The trick to get more Power out of the engine then, is to stretch the torque into the higher revs, which does not necesarily mean more Clutch wear.

No need to upgrade your clutch, don't even know if that is available and you won't get 230 bhp unless you upgrade your turbo and intercooler , safely you will get 190-200 bhp max , you may get a bit more with a smokey generic map but you will quite likely be having engine problems
