Cutting out

Hi I have a 2.2.tdci 66plate ford transit custom which cuts out now and then after starting then saying service now,I've also noticed the engine is very noisey when cold more than normal I had to have the fuel filter changed as the warning light came up (water in fuel) which I was told the fuel in the filter housing was milky
Anyone else had problems like this thanks
