Hey all. I’ve got the sync 3 head unit
As soon as I plug in my iPhone, everything locks up on the screen. CarPlay will not come on and charging clicks in and out every few seconds.
Online I see lots of issues listed, but no resolutions. I’ve tried master reset and various cable, including a genuine apple cable.
Any ideas is greatly appreciated.

Try cleaning the charge port on the phone with a paper clip. It could be the cable is not sitting correctly. They’re susceptible to collecting pocket lint. But be careful of the pins inside as they can break if forced.

FFS, don’t listen to this f*** idiot, the last thing you want to shove into your phone is a piece of metal. Use a wooden cocktail stick to clean the port.

Checked the lightening socket. All clean.
Works fine for charging indoors, but the van doesn’t like it at all.
