Body Control Module Failure ?

Postby Blutor » Tue Oct 19, 2021 9:46 am

Hello this is my first post here.

I live in Sweden so my technical English is not that good as a native.

My Transit Custom L2H1 114 kW MY2012-10 Left Hand drive 133000 km has begun to do some funny stuff. I have owned the car since 2019 and 102000 km

Adaptive corner light doesn't work when turning right.

Auto highbeam does not work, but I'm not sure that it has one since it has not worked since I bought the car.

License plate light is always on 24/7

Trailer connector doesn't work at all

Windscreen heating doesn't work, but I also have a massive crack in the upper right corner

On some occasions it has warned about the lights is on when leaving the car, but has stopped when turning ignition on and off again a few times.

It had loads of DTC and after resetting only two remains.
ABS module U0422:68-0B Invalid data received from body control module

HCM module B1C99:13-0B right corner lamp circuit
but it is the left one that doesn't work when testing but works while driving.

I can not see any water ingress on the body control module, I did not manage tho loosen all the connectors in fear of breaking them. The blue connector on the right hand was easy, but the left one I could not figure out how the locking mechanism worked.

So my conclusion is broken Body control unit and it needs a a new one, any supporters on this theory?

Is it possibly to do it by myself with a used one and forscan?
