Maf sensor problems

I have a 2014 transit custom diesel. For the past month I keep getting fault code that says Maf air sensor intermittent fault.
the van drives perfectly with the fault codes and warning light on live data the maf sensor shows airflow is fine while driving.
The problem seems to be when you turn off then restart sometimes the fault arises sometimes not.
I have checked wiring can find no problems new air filter air mass sensor and sensor in intercooler.
Battery is 12.8 volts dropping to 7.9 at start wondering is it possibly battery related.
