Custom Sport still available new?

Is the Custom Sport still available to buy new?

Doesn't seem to be any mention or reference to it on Ford's website anymore aside from a couple of pictures, and is missing from the configurator too. As is the 185PS engine.

For anyone who wants to order a brand new Sport, turns out you can't! Ford aren't taking orders for them 'at the moment', unsure if they'll be available to order again or if we'll have to wait for the next generation Custom.

Bit of a bugger as I only wanted the Sport for the spec, but seems the semiconductor shortage is causing the problems hence the Trail and Active spec's being introduced as it's easier for them to build as the majority (if not all) parts are shared with Trend/Limited spec models.

Not sure what the reasons are behind the missing 185PS engine though!

I believe there is/was a big backlog of orders, so they're working their way through them but not taking any new orders. Local dealer has a few brand new ones in their yard waiting for PDI so they're still being delivered.

I'm gutted because I was going to order one just over a year back, but ended up buying a house so money went to that instead. Was going to order one in the New Year instead. Looks like I'll be keeping the trusty Mk7 for a while longer!

I got mine 4 weeks ago. Was ordered in July. So you shouldn't be too far away hopefully but only thing is - Ford gave me my November date back in August so they should really know by now.

I was originally told it would be January but most likely March.
I’ll feel a bit happier once I’ve get a build number and I know its coming.

Sold my PX in September for a good price and brought a cheap runaround until it comes,

I have ordered a double cab and the plan is to take the rear seats out and have custom cages made for the 3 dogs,
That will leave the back free to load up when we go away with the caravan.

For years I have brought cars and then spent loads converting them to vans to transport the dogs, with the rear seats folded flat and never used, this time I though just get van, don’t know why I haven’t done it sooner.

Can’t wait for it to turn up, I ticked quite allot of the options so not to miss out on any luxuries.

My DCIV sport was delivered two weeks ago from a May order.
Spoke with ford about ordering a second and was told they will be opening the order books again in Jan but it is reverting back to 170ps.

That's good news! I'll chase my dealer up next month.
