As Transits are well known for being used in Bank robberies as get away vehicles, think twice before you use a Custom.
I recently had to get away from some unsavoury characters and got my brakes quite hot.
The front brakes seemed to handle the ordeal but the rears dont have any ventilation at all.
The ABS reluctor wheel expanded in the heat and fell off. Then the ABS sensor......MELTED !!!!
Then the traction control went into limp mode on the side of the road after I evaded the bad guys and pulled over in a side street.
I had to go into the driver aids window and switch TC off to get the engine to rev above idle. Made it home ok.
At no time did I have any brake fade or failure.
So I mig welded the reluctor wheels back on and got new sensors from the wreckers.
Also tin snipped the backing plate to form a scoop of sorts.
