Transit custom 2.0 injector pump

Postby Herbivore02 » Fri Jan 27, 2023 10:03 am

Hi, does anyone know if the injector pump needs to be coded on a 2017 transit custom 2.0 euro 6?
Is fuel supposed to flow out of the return side of the pump with ignition on and when cranking?
I've had a new pump fitted but doesn't seem to build enough pressure to start.
Thanks

These have a pump in the tank, you should hear it run and then stop when you switch on the ignition
1994 Mk4 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (R.I.P.)
1997 Mk5 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (Gone, but not forgotten!)
2004 Mk6 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.0 TDDi - Vantunered (Also gone)
2008 Mk7 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.2 TDCi - Also Vantunered

Yes the one in the tank is the lift pump that delivers the fuel to the high presure/injector pump. I have replaced the one in the tank and that works fine, my issue is with the injector pump loosing it's presure through the return.
