Hope everyone is doing great.
So as many people on here will probably already know these ecoblue engines are complete and utter trash. I only found this out mid January when mine decided to spread its contents over a duel carriageway.
Were talking about the infamous wet belt.
Only bought it a year prior and had no issues with it, went in for service and mot 2 weeks prior to the incident with an local independent that we use for all vehicles and he's great
Anyhow ford have had it 3 months nearly and have just got round to bothering to look at it (I know disgraceful right) and have said they won't cover under warranty cause they can't decipher if the belt failed first or the pulley failed as the pulley was loose and had marks around the case. I'm absolutely disgusted and feel like they are having me royally over.
Just a bit of back story on the garage (it's perrys Mansfield) they took the van in and within 2 days had done a service inspection on it without me asking (apparently its routine) bearing in mind it had just been serviced with an estimate of over £3000 worth of work along with a nice video of some muppet walking round the thing. One of the jobs was a new battery for £370 wtttttffffff.
Anyhow I rejected all these and asked them to get onto the reason the van came in, they then didn't do anything for over 2 months despite probably 100 phone calls and emails trying to get information or even just to speak to someone.
Now they say its not under the recall and a new engine is £6500????
Im at a loss and just wondered if anyone had any advice on how to deal wit this issue or had any exporience like this before?
Thanks in advance
Oli the very sick transit owner
