Ideas for manual regen abort switch?

Hi. New on here but have had lots of good info in the past. When i get my new engine in (cracked piston, dont ask) I want to have a switch that can stop a regen before i turn my engine off to help with the issue of diesel getting into the oil. Would this be possible? I was thinking maybe fool the exhaust temp reading somehow to read a low temp may do it?? Its a 2.2 2016 custom by the way. Cant always drive on for another 20 mins when it starts.

Maybe just trigger a DTC so it won't regen.
