Good transit mechanic in Perth/Glasgow? Vibration/Juddering

Postby Roob65 » Wed May 14, 2025 11:24 pm

Hi All,
Long story short - probably got done by a dodgy car dealer (don't really want to go into the ins and outs of it here). Bought a Transit Custom 66 plate 2.2l and it developed a few issue almost instantly. Need someone who really knows these machines to have a look and repair. Suspected injector issue and had a local mobile mechanic look (he drives a custom himself) but quoted £2.5k as worst case scenario for 4 injectors (£500 per injector), sump + oil. Price seemed a little crazy to me but maybe I'm out of touch? I don't know anything about cars/vans as it's a skill I never developed.

Get vibration/juddering, if it's there at lower speeds then I don't notice it but normally around 60/70mph. Stops when foot of the gas. Intermittent and sometimes more violent than others. Leaking oil, but not excessively.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
Roob.

you need to ascertain if its engine speed related or vehicle speed related.

It's not doing it with the same revs at lower speeds as far as I can tell. Hoping someone can recommend a mechanic as I'm lost when it comes to vans/cars.
