I'm looking at electric tailgate struts, they're looking like the new sliced bread. They are available for the custom tailgate but I don't see any for the mk7.

I wonder if the tailgate for the custom and mk7 are similar in weight? Has anyone fitted these?

Can anyone get the custom strut into? And dimensions? I think the mk7 is 900mm long 250mm throw and 700n on the gas ones.
