What is the torque value for....

Postby chrismckay » Thu Nov 06, 2025 8:17 am

Transit Custom 2022 LWB

Can anybody give the correct torque values for the brake caliper holder and the caliper slider pins please.

I was set with 60Nm for the sliders and 270Nm for the carriers

However ChatGPT is insisting that that is wrong and that those values are for the larger Transit not the Custom

ChatGPT is insisting on 32Nm for slider and 105Nm for the carrier bracket

Any help will be most appreciated....

Rear slider pin bolts 31 Nm

Front slider pin bolts 60 Nm

Front brake caliper bracket/ carrier mounting bolts 270 Nm

i clean up these bolts and put BLUE loctite on them , as well as the locking function .. it stops rust travelling down the threads, so in future, easy to remove .. well easier than rusted bolts!

all the best.mark
